Hacks

Logie Farm is the ideal place for riding. The 80 acre farm is set in the beautiful Findhorn valley a mile from the road. The river Findhorn runs through the farm for over a mile. We are surrounded by forests laced with tracks, beyond which lie heather-covered moors and the Cairngorm mountains. It is wonderful country for long or short rides.

Our location requires minimal riding on roads. You can ride through fields, forests, along rivers, around lochs and there are views to the Black Isle and the Cairngorms to be enjoyed.
Roe deer, red squirrels, wild cats, ospreys and oyster catchers are but some of the wildlife that abound in this unspoilt area.

We are a BHS approved riding, livery and training centre and our horses are friendly, willing and well schooled.
We pride ourselves on our excellent care for our horses and our permanent, friendly and well trained staff.

Riding boots and helmets are provided and are included in the price.

Riding Instruction

The friendly, fully trained and qualified permanent staff will make you welcome and give expert and imaginative instruction in all fields of equestrianism. The emphasis on enjoyment and encouragement runs throughout the instruction.

We teach from beginner up to advanced, both children and adults, always in small groups. We teach show jumping, cross country, dressage and stable management (learn to groom and handle horses).

Our facilities include a large, floodlit outdoor arena and an extensive cross country course. Our latest addition is our club room for spectators overlooking the arena.

During the year we organise several events, some exclusively for our clients including: “le trec” (obstacle course), show jumping and dressage competitions, Halloween and Christmas events.

If you want to work on some specific skills or want to progress really quickly we can arrange private tuition.

Cross Country

Our extensive cross country course runs throughout the farm. It is situated in good undulating terrain. The fences are varied and most are at 3 different height levels . We also have some challenging features such as the steps which go quite steeply downhill. The possibilities to vary are endless.

We can provide lessons on your own horse or on our horses. Alternatively, you can hire the course and bring your own instructor.

Livery

We are a BHS approved livery establishment and can offer full livery, on grass or stabled. Livery includes daily checks, rug changing, bedding, haylage, use of facilities (arena and cross country course). We have access to two good vet practices and a weekly farrier. We can provide extras such as exercising horses, clipping, tack cleaning, special nursing and feeding requirements.

We are surrounded by ideal riding country and are a very friendly yard. As we are also a BHS approved training centre you will have easy access to expert tuition if desired and the regular events that we organise.

Backing and Schooling

Our fully trained and qualified staff can work with your horse from start or teach it specific skills such as learning to jump, road sense, riding in a group etc. Our teaching methods are not stressful for the horse which allows the horse to build it's confidence.

Kids parties

Bring the party to Logie. Logie Farm is the ideal venue for an unforgettable kids party. Our club room provides a base for the party and we can arrange a great ride out or a combination with games in the arena ranging from 1/2 hour to 2 hours. All you need to do is bring the kids and the food. We can also arrange cakes and a rosette for each as a remembrance.

The pricing is based on the prices for hacks and lessons but with a 10% discount for groups over 4.

Hen parties and office outings

A great all year round activity for any celebration or hen party. Our fun and friendly staff will take you out for a ride or give a lesson (or any combination). We will take a few pictures during the ride as a remembrance afterwards.

The beautiful area also offers plenty of stag activities and accommodation options nearby. No experience necessary.

The pricing is based on the prices for hacks and lessons but with a 15% discount for groups over 4.
